Management selection

Did you know we tender management mandates worldwide?
An important principle for us is to assume management only in cases where this is deemed sensible and where we have an edge in terms of knowledge or information. We feel that analysis and in-depth knowledge of the local market are especially crucial in stock investments. This is why we have decided to engage globally respected managers to handle our asiatic stock funds and to join our expertise with theirs. We have made this decision in the interest of our clients.
We combine global expertise with local expertise to optimize fund performance.

Managers of fund advisors

We view our own general role as that of being a manager of these fund advisors. This means we constantly measure our advisors’ performance in goal attainment against the benchmark. We constantly monitor both qualitative and quantitative aspects of our fund advisors’ work. As a result, we can respond quickly to poor performance and reassign the advisory mandate.

Fund Analysis

Our own analysis of external funds is supplemented by the analysis of outside managers. The results of these processes largely benefit the funds-of-funds under our direct management.

This approach has gained recognition from objective observers as well. In 2003 Julius Meinl Investment was singled out for the coveted Standard & Poors Fund Award “Best Small Investment Company over Five Years.” This assessment is confirmed by the many prizes and awards our individual funds have received.
